Senator Hope Uzodinma Accused Of Deliberately Infecting Woman With HIV Virus
Wonders they say shall never end, and this is definately not a new terrain for the senator representing Imo West Senatorial Zone.The latest controversy involving the senator is an accusation that he intentionally infected a woman(names withheld) with the HIV virus that led to her untimely death.This heavy accusation was made by one of the relatives of the woman who was buried on Friday, 29th January through a facebook. Supreme Court upholds Governor Wike's election as Rivers state governor
The Supreme Court today Wednesday, January 27, upheld the election of Nyesom Wike as the duly elected governor of Rivers State.Wike had approached the apex court after the Appeal Court upheld the decision of Rivers State Governorship Petitions Tribunal which nullified his election on October 24, 2015. APC candidate Dakuku Peterside had won the appeal court sitting challenging Wike's election as the Rivers State governor.Wike took the case to the Supreme Court and has gotten the ruling that will ensure he remains Rivers State governor till at least May 2019.The ruling was delivered by Justice Kekere-Ekun.The apex court 7-man panel which was headed by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Mahmud Mohammed will provide reasons for their judgement onFebruary 12.

Jay Z sued for $18million over his perfume range...after sales drop by 75%
They claim Jay Z didn't keep his side of the deal.Parlux Fragrances filed a lawsuit against Jay Z inthe Manhattan Supreme Court, with the papers claiming the star failed to to promote his own signature fragrance.
Reports claim the rapper was supposed to make six promotional appearances since the release of the fragrance in 2013, none of which he made.In the documents, Parlux lawyer Anthony Viola said the company worked with Jacob the Jeweler to create five prototypes bottles which had solid gold caps and gold drizzled on the exterior which cost a staggering $20,000 each.
He said in the papers: 'Mr. Carter rejected all of them and kept the prototype'.And that was not the only thing he kept - the rapper also kept his guaranteed $2 million up-front royalty fee, docs claim.
Parlux claims the perfume was an initial success but Jay Z's lack of commitment caused interest in the product to drop.It stated that 'in the fragrance industry, it is virtually impossible to sustain the success of a celebrity fragrance' without both celebrity promotional appearance.
The company also accuses the rapper of not developing follow up scents to keep fans interested.According to TMZ, the company expected to make about $50 million over two years but is now losingmoney.
The company is now demanding the court make Jay Z pay back the $2 million up front royalty andgive back 3000,000 shares, void their contract and then wants at least $18 million in damages.
According to NY Times“Sales of Gold Jay Z have declined considerably because of Jay Z’s and his teams lack of interest in supporting and promoting his own brand,” according to the new $18 million suit filed by Perfumania Holdings Inc.
Gold Jay Z was the best selling celebrity fragrance a year after its launch in 2014, ousting David Beckham‘s aftershave by eight to one.But sales tanked last year from a projected $35 million to $6.1 million because the rapper was toobusy with other projects to focus on the fragrance, the Manhattan civil suit says.Jay Z refused to appear on “Good Morning America,” turned down a cover story for Women’sWear Daily and an event at Macy’s to promote themen’s scent, according to court papers.

Crystal Palace football club of England signed Togolese footballer Emmanuel Adebayor on a freetransfer yesterday Jan. 26th. The former Real Madrid, Man City, Arsenal and Tottenham striker had been a free agent ever since he and Tottenham parted ways last year.Crystal Palace signed him on an initial six month deal with the option of an extra year if the player does well.

Beauty queen mum died after falling into road during an argument with another parent at school
A mum and former beauty queen died after falling in front of a van outside her children's primary school during a row with another parent.Robyn McHale, 28, died six days after being airlifted to Royal London Hospital in a critical condition from outside Forres Primary School in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire.An inquest into her death heard how just moments before the collision in February last year, she had been involved in a heated argumentat the school gates.Ms McHale was heard shouting "you f****** grass" before running towards another mum, Tara Jarmin, with her arms flailing and starting a tussle.
The inquest heard she had blamed the other mum after headteacher Sue Camp called the single mum-of-three into a meeting to discuss child car issues.Robyn, from Hoddesdon, was said to have become"upset and angry" before storming out of the school and confronting the woman.
Mrs Camp told the hearing "Ms McHale was very volatile and aggressive in response to the meeting and was saying it was all the 'fault' of Tara Jarmin. She was shouting and continuing to be abusive so she was told to leave the school."Not long after, Tara Jarmin ran to me very agitated and in shock.
She said something about Ms McHale and a car so I went outside with a first aid kit.That was when I saw her lying on the road unconscious and bleeding from a head wound.
The inquest was told that initially police arrestedthe woman Robyn had run up to as well as a 15 year old girl.But after officers were able to view CCTV footage which captured the incident, no charges were brought against them.
Police constable Ian Marsh confirmed that the van which struck mother-of-three Robyn had been travelling at just 21mph and had stopped immediately after the incident.
The woman said she heard a loud bang and realised that van had struck Robyn.She told officers "It was a freak accident. "In a tribute Robyn's sister Alexander McHale said: "The family and friends are all devastated by Robyn's death and miss her very much. She hada cast iron exterior but a soft interior and gave her all to her three children. She touched the hearts of everyone she knew."The coroner recorded a verdict of accidental death.

Something happened today and thought that sharing with BBS would make other people to be aware and endeavor not to fall a victim. I'm a Corper and am serving at a government secondary school in Kaduna. Today a man came to our school to sell some stuff, according to him it's an insecticide that kills cockroach, insects, scorpions, scares snakes away and most of all Lassa fever. He went into the staff room and many teachers bought the stuff. Unknown to them the content was just ordinary salt...
After making about #18,000 from the sales and when he was about leaving, one of the teachers decided to open her own, Lo and behold it was ordinary salt that was packaged with no name of the product, address or phone number. So the teacher went to d corridor and called him to come and collect the stuff back and return her money that she is no longer interested. Immediately the young man started running towards the school gate and the teacher started shouting "thief thief thief" with the help of somecopers sitting outside, the guy was apprehended. And I believe he was handed over to the relevant authorities. Please Aunty help me share with others so that they should mind the kind of deceit some people are bound to do.Kindly find the attachment of the supposed product and the criminal.

Three corpses were found and exhumed from a building site at Ugwuaji area of Enugu on the Enugu - Portharcourt Expressway yesterday Monday Jan. 25th. The corpses were buried insidethe foundation of the building allegedly owned by a church which is under construction and totally covered with concrete.According to unconfirmed sources, one of the workers at the site who heard about what had happened to the three men alerted the police, who came to exhume the bodies.
